Emergency services had to attend Manchester Academy in Moss Side following a 14-year-old boy being stabbed in the neck in front of his horrified classmates and teachers.
A horrifying event has unfolded at the Manchester Academy School in Moss Side, Manchester, UK. A 14-year old boy was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in the neck in front of his classmates and teachers at the school in south Manchester. It is reported that the offender walked into the high school and carried out a vicious attack on the victim whilst the students were sitting an exam, all of this was witnessed by classmates and teachers.
It has been stated that the victim's injuries are said to be serious but are not believed to be life-threatening.
Greater Manchester Police have confirmed at a 13-year-old male pupil was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault and possession of a bladed article, two other boys ages 13 and 12 were also arrested on suspicion of assault.
A GMP spokesperson said: "Police were called at around 9.40 am this morning (2 December) to a report of a stabbing at Manchester Academy, Moss East Lane, Manchester.
"Emergency services attended and a 14-year-old male pupil was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening."
"A 13-year-old male pupil was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 Assault and possession of a bladed article."
"Two further males, aged 13 and 12, have been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault. They remain in custody for questioning."
"Enquiries are ongoing and officers will remain at the school to offer reassurance to pupils and staff."
