Re-Offending Convicted Paedophile Drove 100 Miles To Sexually Assault School Girl
A Rochdale paedophile who was convicted in 2010 of sexually assaulting a girl under 13 years old has now been jailed for 15 years after driving 100 miles to sexually assault another child he had groomed online.

30-year-old Aaron Scanlon had groomed the young girl during "lengthy phonecalls" where he told the child that he loved her.
Scanlon set off at 6am from Rochdale to make the drive to Darlington, where he arrived at his victim's home just before 8am and waited for her outside, telling her he would drive her to school.
The perverted Scanlon then drove the girl to a secluded layby and seriously sexually assaulted her.
He then dropped his traumatised victim near her school, where she told staff members what he had done to her.
Rochdale police arrested him after he had driven back home.
Scanlon, previously of Rochdale, but now of Newbiggin-by-the-Sea in Northumberland, pleaded guilty to the charges of sexual assault by penetration and causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent.
He was sentenced to 15 years and one month behind bars at Teeside Crown Court last week.
Scanlon had a previous conviction from 2010, where he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13.
Detective Sergeant Ian Banham, said: "Scanlon is a dangerous individual who targeted this girl after forming a relationship with her over the phone and groomed her for some time.
"Then, he travelled from his home in Rochdale to commit this horrendous act without any consideration for the life-changing and devastating impact it would have on the girl.
"I hope this sentence provides her with some closure and allows her to move on and rebuild her life."
