Four Arrests After Body Of Girl, 12, Found In Suitcase In Paris

Horrifying details are emerging from Paris after the body of a 12-year-old girl was discovered in a suitcase on the street after a suspected kidnapping. Four people are currently in police custody.

The horrifying discovery was made after the family of the girl reported her missing on Friday when she failed to return home from school.


Police quickly launched an investigation after discovering signs of a kidnapping in the basement of the family home.


Authorities watched CCTV footage that showed a woman carrying a suitcase outside the building. The suitcase was later found a few streets away in rue d'Hautpoul with the corpse of the 12-year-old girl inside.


The girl's face had been covered with tape and she had several cuts to her throat.

A post-mortem examination will be carried out on Sunday.


Four people are currently in police custody, but it is not initially clear what they have been arrested for. Among those in custody is the man who called police after finding the suitcase.


A murder investigation is ongoing.
