British Tourist, 35, Stabbed At World's Biggest Beer Festival In Germany

A British man is in hospital fighting for his life in a critical condition after being stabbed at the Oktoberfest beer festival in Germany.

The 35-year-old British man has been left fighting for his life and requiring emergency surgery after suffering a stab wound in Munich as the world-famous beer festival got underway on September 17.


German authorities have arrested two 18-year-old men in connection with the attack.


One of the suspects has been detained on suspicion of aggravated robbery while the second is being held on suspicion of attempted murder.



Police have carried out house searches of five properties in Munich as they try and locate the weapon.


German media outlet br.de reported that local police believe the stabbing was linked to a drug deal gone wrong.


The British man reportedly suffered a stab wound to his upper body after being robbed of hundreds of euros.
