Chelsea Man Who Raped A Woman And Sexually Assaulted Three Others Has Been Jailed
A man has been jailed for 15 years for raping a woman and sexually assaulting three others. The serial sex offender would meet young women at parties, offer them a massage and then sexually assault them.
A jury at Isleworth Crown Court heard how 43-year-old Cosmin Pascu would prey on young women in the Chelsea area.
Pascu would usually meet the women at parties and offer them a massage before sexually assaulting or raping them.
On one occasion, Pascu hired a female professional masseuse to come to his home address to give him a massage. Not long after she began the treatment he turned on her and sexually assaulted her.
In each case, the victims reported the attacks to the police resulting in several investigations being launched.
The offences took place between December 2020 and June 2021.
Due to all the attacks following a similar scenario, authorities managed to link them together and identified Pascu as the prime suspect.
The serial sex offender was nabbed by the Territorial Support Group on Kings Road, Chelsea, in December 2021.
On Wednesday, Cosmin Pascu was sentenced to 15 years behind bars for two counts of rape and four counts of sexual assault.
Detective Sergeant Sophie McLoughlin, said: "Pascu is a predator and a danger to women. I applaud the victims in this case for reporting their ordeals and for their bravery throughout the investigation and court process.
"It is thanks to them that we have been able to convict this man of his crimes and prevent him from offending further.
"Pascu targeted young women at parties and was persuasive and persistent in his efforts to place them in a vulnerable situation before attacking them."
