Five People Killed By Gunman In Israel In Tel Aviv Shooting

Officials have reported that a gunman riding a motorcycle has opened fire in Tel Aviv, Israel, killing at least five people. Video below.

Five people killed in Israel shooting in suburbs of Tel Aviv

At least five people have been killed while another have been left seriously wounded today in a shooting in the suburbs of the city of Tel Aviv in Israel.


The head of the Magen David Adom ambulance service has said that one attacker has been shot but there could have been other people involved. It has not yet been confirmed if any of the assailants are among the dead.

It has been reported that the shootings took place in two or three different areas in Bnei Brak and Ramat Gan.


The Times of Israel reported that police officials stated that a man on a motorcycle had opened fire on passersby.


This attack has come just days after two similar attacks by Palestinian citizens of Israel in Beersheba and Hadera, which left a total of 6 people dead, including two police officers.


Tensions have been particularly high in recent weeks in the run up to the first anniversary of Israel's 11-day offensive on Gaza.
