Police have launched a murder investigation after a 9-year-old girl died from a suspected stab wound in Lincolnshire.
Officers responded to a call and attended the scene at Fountain Lane, Boston, at around 6.20pm on Thursday, where they found a 9-year-old girl with a suspected stab wound. Authorities have launched a murder investigation after the young girl was tragically pronounced dead.
Lincolnshire Police said: "We have launched a murder investigation. The area has been cordoned off and we will be at the scene for the foreseeable future."
"The young girl's parents have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this incredibly difficult time. "Her family will be supported by specialist trained officers.
