A pervert football coach in London has been jailed for sexually assaulting seven teenage boys after promising to further their football careers.
35-year-old Emmanuel Igwebuike was sentenced to 15 years in prison at the Inner London Crown Court on Friday after being convicted of 22 counts of sexual assault.
Igwebuike was also ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life as well as handed a lifelong Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
The disgraced pervert ran his own football academy in south west London and carried out the sexual assaults after gaining the trust of the boys and promising to further their careers in the sport.
The seven teenage victims were all aged between 14 and 18 at the time the attacks took place.
The offences occurred between June 2019 and April 2021 at numerous different locations, including a hotel in Birmingham and the previous home of Igwebuike in Lambeth and Putney.
Detective Constable Elaine Hutton said: "These offences committed by Igwebuike are of an extremely serious nature. They have had a significant impact on the life of the young victims and especially their families who trusted him and were subject to his manipulation. I would like to thank them all for their bravery during this investigation. "We are keen to establish whether there are other victims of Igwebuike who have yet to come forward. Anyone who believes they were a victim of Igwebuike is asked to contact police."
