Multiple Injuries In School Shooting At Oxford High School In Michigan
An active shooter situation has shut down a Michigan high school and multiple victims have reportedly been shot. A suspect is currently in custody.
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department is responding to the shooting at Oxford High School that started at around 12.55 pm
Parents have been asked to avoid the campus and to instead pick up students who have managed to leave the school at the parking lot of a nearby pharmacy.
Current reports state that there are between four and six victims. No deaths have been confirmed at this time.
The condition of those who were injured are not known as yet.
The suspected shooter is in custody, according to Michael McCabe, undersheriff with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. A handgun was also located, he said. "We are still doing a secondary search of the school for any further victims," McCabe said.
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that they are searching for possible further victims.
A Michigan survival flight helicopter has arrived at the parking lot of the school, the local TV station reported.
