A beloved mother-of-three has been killed in a suspected hit-and-run incident as she crossed the road in Doncaster, she tragically leaves behind two young children and a four-month-old baby.
30-year-old Keita Mullen was crossing the high street in Bawtry, Doncaster when she was struck by a vehicle, which police believe was a Nissan Juke. South Yorkshire Police were called to the scene just after midnight on Sunday, paramedics also attended the incident but tragically Ms Mullen was pronounced dead at the roadside.
Another person, a 33-year-old woman, was also struck by the car and was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Nissan Juke, believed to be a 49-year-old woman, fled the scene but was arrested shortly after on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The suspect was later released pending further investigation.
The car that struck Ms Mullen was travelling along the A638 high street towards Great North Road. Keita leaves behind three children, aged ten, five, and four months old.
