Gabriel Petrov Stoyanov was stabbed in Bromley Road, Downham, London, on November 4, just before midnight.

He was rushed to hospital but died the following afternoon.

Two teenage boys, aged 17 and 14, have appeared at Bexley Youth Court in connection with the murder.

Neither of the suspects can be named because of their age, however, they were both remanded into the care of the local authority and are due to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday.

London police are now on the hunt for 16-year-old George David who they believe carried out the fatal stabbing.

The Metropolitan Police said that David is possibly being hidden by other individuals following the killing of Mr Stoyanov.

Authorities also warned members of the public not to approach David should they see him and to call police immediately.

Detective Chief Inspector Kelly Allen said: "George, my message directly to you is that you must attend a police station immediately."

He added: "We believe it's possible George is being hidden or moved around by people he knows. My message to those people is that if you are working to frustrate our enquiries, you should be very much aware of the trouble you could find yourself in. We will seek to arrest and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law."

Gabriel's mother, Mariana, paid tribute to her son, she said: "He was taken from us far too soon in the most brutal and cruel way.

"Gabriel was loved by many, he had a wonderful sense of humour, he was easy-going, compassionate, always ready to help others.

"We are devastated by his unnecessary loss, just when his life as a bright, passionate, and motivated adult was beginning.

"He will always be remembered, and we will keep him in our hearts forever. I am so grateful that God sent him to me.

"He taught me to be a mother, we grew together in life. We went through many challenges together, through the good and the bad, he made me the person I am today. "Gabriel, I love you and I will love you until my last breath."
